Opening the meeting, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev noted that Cholpon-Ata has become a traditional venue for the August meetings of the heads of government of the EAEU countries, and that cooperation within the union is becoming increasingly multifaceted each year.

«We meet year after year to discuss pressing issues of Eurasian integration, and the agenda of our cooperation is becoming increasingly multifaceted. This clearly reflects the progressive development of our union and the expansion of areas of interaction,» he said.

According to Adylbek Kasymaliev, the meeting participants will consider more than 15 issues on the Eurasian economic agenda. Particular attention will be paid to food security. He recalled that the previous day, in a narrow format, the parties had discussed in detail the development of a common agricultural market and the initiative of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov to develop specific measures to strengthen the agri-food sector and provide the population with safe and affordable food.

«Modern challenges require us not only to analyze the situation but also to develop effective joint mechanisms for rapid response,» the head of the Cabinet emphasized.

Following the meeting, three agreements are planned to be signed:

on the admission of brokers and dealers to exchange trading in the EAEU;

on the mutual recognition of academic titles in the countries of the Union.
