The Cabinet Chairman stressed that the Eurasian Economic Commission should continue actively monitoring agricultural markets and forecasting potential shortages and price increases, taking into account information provided by EAEU member states.

In his view, the commission should also promptly submit proposals to the union’s governing bodies for decisions that would help minimize the risks of imbalances in the food market in a timely manner.

According to the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic, prices for food products and non-alcoholic beverages rose by 5.4 percent in the first half of 2026 (January—June). Over the year, prices increased by at least 9.2 percent.
