According to the ministry, the threat is linked to expected heavy rainfall combined with rising air temperatures. Temperatures in Kyrgyzstan are expected to reach up to +40°C on Sunday and Monday.

Mountainous and foothill areas across the country are considered high-risk zones, where mudflows and a sharp increase in river water levels may occur.

Residents and visitors are advised to take precautionary measures, avoid staying near riverbeds, mudflow channels, and ravines, and closely follow updates from emergency services.
