The sides reviewed prospects for developing Kyrgyzstan — USA cooperation in civil aviation and confirmed mutual interest in strengthening partnership relations.

According to the agency’s press service, one of the key topics of the meeting was the draft Open Skies agreement between Kyrgyzstan and the United States. The parties also discussed the potential expansion of air connectivity between the two countries and further steps for the development of the aviation sector.

The parties also discussed cooperation with Boeing and prospects for cooperation in modernizing and developing Kyrgyzstan’s civil aviation.

Special attention was paid to preparations for the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) audit, as well as the possibility of launching flights by cargo airlines.

Developing cooperation in the aviation sector will contribute to expanding Kyrgyzstan’s transport and logistics potential and strengthening ties with international partners, the statement says.
