A second option is to use the fuel oil at Kyrgyzstan’s combined heat and power plants during the 2026-2027 heating season.

The Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic previously asked Astana to consider the possibility of supplying petroleum products—gasoline and diesel fuel. This request is currently under review.

The decision will be made based on production volumes and domestic consumption in Kazakhstan, the availability of resources for export, and the priority of supplying the Kazakh market.

It should be noted that Kazakhstan has imposed a temporary ban on the export of gasoline, diesel fuel, and several other petroleum products, including to EAEU member states, since May 21.
