The event was attended by Ruslan Kazakbaev, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to Turkey; Kürşad Zorlu, Deputy Chairman of the Justice and Development Party and Head of the Department of Foreign Relations with Turkic Countries; members of the Turkish Grand National Assembly; Ozan Balcı, Governor of Van Province; representatives of local governments; ethnic Kyrgyz; and cultural and scientific figures from Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.
Participants emphasized the special importance of Kyrgyzstan — Turkey relations, based on shared historical, cultural, and spiritual values, as well as the role of the ethnic Kyrgyz of Ulupamir in preserving national traditions, their native language, and cultural identity.
On behalf of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Kyrgyz people, Ambassador Kazakbaev congratulated the participants on the 35th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan’s independence, noting the country’s achievements over the years of sovereign development and the political, economic, and infrastructural reforms implemented as part of the «New Kyrgyzstan» policy.
The Ambassador also noted the high level of Kyrgyzstan — Turkey comprehensive strategic cooperation and the symbolism of the current year, which marks the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Special gratitude was expressed to Turkish President Erdogan, the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Turkish side for supporting Kyrgyzstan’s candidacy in the elections for non-permanent members of the UN Security Council, which resulted in the country being elected for the 2027-2028 term.
The festival concluded with a cultural program featuring creative groups from Kyrgyzstan, performances by musicians and dance troupes, equestrian competitions, including kok-boru, and an exhibition of folk crafts and national cuisine.
