The document requires civil servants, heads of state institutions and enterprises, as well as legal entities with state ownership, to report any attempts to induce them to commit corruption-related offenses within 24 hours of the approach.
The report should be submitted in written or electronic form to the employer, prosecutor’s office, law enforcement agencies or other authorized anti-corruption bodies.
If the circumstances do not contain signs of a crime and require an internal investigation, the report is submitted to the employer. If the case involves bribery, commercial bribery, abuse of office or other acts bearing signs of a crime, the report has to be sent to the prosecutor’s office or law enforcement agencies.
In cases of an immediate threat to life or health, an oral report is permitted, followed by written documentation.
The report should include the applicant’s details, the time, place and circumstances of the approach, information about the person who attempted to induce the offense, the nature of their demands, as well as information about possible witnesses and evidence.
Applicants are provided with protection guarantees. They may not be dismissed, transferred, subjected to other forms of retaliation or disciplinary action.
