According to the Health Ministry, the facility is now in the final stage of a major renovation.

A significant part of the facade work has been completed, windows have been installed, and interior finishing work is underway. Workers are also installing utility systems, ventilation, ceilings and carry out other works needed to prepare the building for operation.

The state budget has allocated 200 million soms for the renovation. An additional 89 million soms have been earmarked to purchase medical equipment for the future maternity hospital.

Once completed, the new building will house a 100-bed Regional Maternity Hospital, improving obstetric care for women in Chui region and creating a more modern infrastructure for healthcare workers and patients.

The Chui Regional Maternity Hospital is currently housed in a former kindergarten building, which limits its ability to provide comprehensive specialized medical care.

The opening date of the new maternity hospital has not been specified.
