According to the diplomatic mission, the official credential presentation ceremony took place at the White House on May 21.

Edil Baisalov conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from President Sadyr Japarov and reaffirmed Kyrgyzstan’s commitment to further strengthening Kyrgyzstan — USA cooperation.

The ambassador noted that the Kyrgyz Republic highly values the support provided by the United States since the early years of the country’s independence. He also expressed appreciation for the consistent U.S. attention to cooperation with Central Asia and the region.

Donald Trump welcomed the new ambassador and expressed readiness to further develop bilateral relations. He emphasized the importance of warm ties between the peoples of the two countries and expressed confidence that Edil Baisalov’s mission would contribute to strengthening political and economic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the United States.
