According to the City Hall, the initiative is part of a project to electrify urban transport. The parties are currently finalizing documentation for the corridor and measures to improve the resilience of bus services.

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) also plans to extend the existing project in Bishkek until 2029.

Furthermore, the bank proposed developing a new urban mobility project. The City Hall also proposed that the ADB consider solar energy projects, including the installation of solar panels at municipal infrastructure facilities.

Details of the future «green» corridor, including its route and implementation timeline, have not yet been disclosed.

Earlier, the Bishkek City Hall said that under the «Pilot Green Mobility Corridor» project, the reconstruction of a section of Kievskaya Street from Ibraimov Street to Beishenaliev Street was being considered, with infrastructure improvements for pedestrians, cyclists, and public transport.
