The tremors were recorded at 6:22 a.m. The epicenter was located on the border between the two countries, 15 kilometers south of the village of Achyk-Suu and 137 kilometers southwest of Osh.

The earthquake had an intensity of approximately magnitude 2.5 in Achyk-Suu.

Specialists also recorded seismic activity on the Kyrgyzstan-Kazakhstan border on Thursday at 11:09 p.m., with an intensity of about magnitude 3.

The earthquake was not felt in populated areas of Kyrgyzstan.
