The decision was made following an instruction by President Sadyr Japarov during his meeting with fishermen from Issyk-Kul region.

Under the new amendments, fees for recreational and sport fishing have been lowered. The Cabinet of Ministers noted that the measure is intended to create more affordable and convenient conditions for citizens.

The new fishing rates for catching chebak and carp in Issyk-Kul Lake are as follows:

Earlier, local fishermen raised concerns about the high cost of legal fishing during a meeting with the president at Issyk-Kul. According to them, a one-day permit previously cost 630 soms. Following the appeal, the head of state instructed relevant officials to review the payment system.

Afterward, the Cabinet of Ministers submitted a draft proposal for public discussion to reduce fees for recreational and sport fishing. The proposal suggested lowering the cost of a three-day permit, with a catch limit of up to 9 kilograms, from 1,513 soms to 613 soms.
