Jamilya Jamanbaeva and Umed Bobozoda also intend to hold joint receptions for citizens of the two countries, conduct monitoring visits, and provide legal consultations.

«I am confident that this first-ever memorandum will not be simply a declarative document. It is intended to become a living, daily tool for human rights protection. From now on, we have an official legal basis for the prompt consideration of appeals from Kyrgyz citizens in Tajikistan and Tajik citizens in Kyrgyzstan,» the Ombudsperson said.

Umed Bobozoda noted the centuries-old proximity and close ties between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan in all areas of cooperation.

«I am confident that our joint work will benefit our citizens,» the Human Rights Commissioner of the Republic of Tajikistan said.
